Albuquerque remains one of the state's secret jewels, as its tourist attractions are often overshadowed by the more popular holiday destination of Santa Fe.
Start off your visit on the 15th (Tue): examine the collection at The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History, then get a new perspective on nature at Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, and then appreciate the extensive heritage of Albuquerque Old Town. On the next day, take in the dramatic natural features at Petroglyph National Monument, examine the collection at New Mexico Steam Locomotive and Railroad Historical Society, then take in the spiritual surroundings of San Felipe de Neri Church, and finally engage your brain at Explora Science Center and Children's Museum of Albuquerque.
