Honolulu

Honolulu ©
In many ways much more Asian than American, Honolulu is Hawaii's largest city and its center of government, transportation, commerce, and tourism.
Keep things going the next day: see the interesting displays at USS Bowfin Submarine Museum & Park, hike along Makapuu Lighthouse Trail, and then contemplate the waterfront views at Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve.

For reviews, photos, ratings, and other tourist information, refer to the Honolulu trip itinerary planner.

Philadelphia to Honolulu is an approximately 13.5-hour combination of train and flight. You can also do a combination of train and flight; or fly. The time zone difference moving from Eastern Standard Time (EST) to Hawaii Standard Time (HST) is minus 5 hours. When traveling from Philadelphia in April, plan for a bit warmer days in Honolulu, with highs around 83°F, while nights are much hotter with lows around 71°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 19th (Sun) to allow time to travel to Wailea.
