Tucson

— 7 nights

Old Pueblo

One of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the country, Tucson is a city on a cultural crossroads, with European, Native American, Mexican, and Asian residents blending and sometimes conflicting with one another.
Take a break from the city and head to Catalina State Park and Colossal Cave Mountain Park. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Madera Canyon and Tumamoc Hill. Change things up with these side-trips from Tucson: Tubac Presidio State Historic Park (in Tubac) and Picacho (Picacho Peak State Park & Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Ranch). There's lots more to do: indulge your senses at Arizona Winery Tours, learn about wildlife with up-close encounters at Reid Park Zoo, view the masterpieces at Madaras Gallery, and admire the landmark architecture of Fox Theater.
