A big city with a small-town feel, Portland is home to the country's biggest rose test garden, perched on a hill overlooking downtown.
Museum-lovers will appreciate Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum and Oregon Museum of Science and Industry. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Live Laugh Love Art and Sokol Blosser Winery. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Portland: Cannon Beach (Haystack Rock & Cannon Beach), Jewell Meadows Wildlife Area (in Seaside) and Multnomah Falls (in Bridal Veil). Emerald City

Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.
Get outdoors at Hurricane Ridge and Discovery Park. Do some cultural sightseeing at Chihuly Garden and Glass and The Museum of Flight. Take a break from Seattle with a short trip to Discover Nature in Lakewood, about 1h 10 min away. The adventure continues: browse the fresh offerings at Pike Place Market, take in panoramic vistas at Space Needle, look for gifts at Elliott Bay Book Company, and kick back and relax at Alki Beach.
