City of Roses

A big city with a small-town feel, Portland is home to the country's biggest rose test garden, perched on a hill overlooking downtown.
You'll discover tucked-away gems like Cannon Beach and The Grotto - National Sanctuary of Our Sorrowful Mother. Get in touch with nature at Hug Point State Park and Volcano Lands - Private Tours. Dedicate the 3rd (Sun) to wine at some of the top wineries in the area. There's still lots to do: sample some tasty brews at a beer tour and tasting, take an in-depth tour of Oregon Historical Society, don't miss a visit to Pittock Mansion, and take in the views from St. Johns Bridge.
