The River City

The capital city of Virginia, Richmond has diverse architecture, a large collection of monuments, and world-class museums that reveal the city's important role in American history.
Kids will enjoy Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Washington Monument. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Richmond: Williamsburg (St. George Tucker House, Colonial Williamsburg, &more), Washington DC (St Patrick's Catholic Church, White House, &more) and Virginia Beach (Virginia Beach & Virginia Beach Boardwalk). And it doesn't end there: admire the masterpieces at Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, take in nature's colorful creations at Monticello, admire nature's wide array of creatures at Three Lakes Nature Center and Aquarium, and let the river carry you with a rafting and tubing tour.
