San Antonio

— 8 nights

The Alamo City

As the state’s second largest city, San Antonio embodies Texas’ rich cultural heritage while maintaining the Old West charm of an oil town.
Family-friendly places like The Alamo and Natural Bridge Caverns will thrill your kids. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Mission San Jose and King William Historic District. Explore San Antonio's surroundings by going to Landa Park (in New Braunfels), Kerrville (Riverside Nature Center & The Museum of Western Art) and Bandera (Horseback Riding Tours, Frontier Times Museum, &more). There's still lots to do: take an in-depth tour of Gonzales Memorial Museum, see the interesting displays at Witte Museum, pause for some serene contemplation at St. Mary's Catholic Church, and contemplate the long history of Pioneer Museum.

In March, plan for daily highs up to 76°F, and evening lows to 54°F.
