Walled City

Founded by the Spanish in 1521, San Juan is the oldest city under U.S. jurisdiction and one of the oldest in the Americas.
Visit Old San Juan and Parroquia Sagrado Corazon de Jesus for their historical value. We've included these beaches for you: Playa Luquillo and Playa Ocean Park. Change things up with these side-trips from San Juan: Scuba & Snorkeling (in Fajardo), Museo de Arte de Ponce (in Ponce) and El Yunque Rain Forest (in El Yunque National Forest). There's lots more to do: steep yourself in history at Sitio Histórico de San Juan, explore the world behind art at Museo de Las Americas, enjoy the sand and surf at Condado Beach, and get to know the fascinating history of Paseo de la Princesa.

To find maps, reviews, traveler tips, and tourist information, go to the San Juan tour itinerary app.

Keep things going the next day: kick back and relax at Playa Media Luna, take in the exciting artwork at Siddhia Hutchinson Fine Art Gallery, and then enjoy the sand and surf at Balneario Sun Bay.
