Named for the restorative mineral springs in the area, Saratoga Springs began its life as a resort town.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Saratoga Springs: Williamstown (The Clark Art Institute & Williams College Museum of Art), Norman Rockwell Museum (in Stockbridge) and Hildene, The Lincoln Family Home (in Manchester). There's still lots to do: try your luck at Saratoga Race Course, tour the pleasant surroundings at Saratoga National Historical Park, admire the majestic nature at Saratoga Spa State Park, and stop by Impressions of Saratoga.
