Generally considered to be the oldest town established by European Americans in the Black Hills, Custer began as a mining town.
You'll discover tucked-away gems like Sunday Gulch Trail and Horseback Riding Tours. Step out of the city life by going to Cathedral Spires Hiking Trail and Harney Peak. Change things up with a short trip to Wind Cave National Park in Wind Cave National Park (about 44 minutes away).
