South Dakota's second-largest city, Rapid City has for many years served as a gateway to the West.
Get outdoors at Bear Country USA and Black Hills National Forest. Kids will enjoy Reptile Gardens and Cosmos Mystery Area. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Rapid City: Mount Rushmore National Memorial (in Keystone), Custer (Needles Eye Tunnel, Sylvan Lake, & more) and Deadwood (Mount Moriah Cemetery & Historic Old Town).
