Stafford is a census-designated place (listed as Stafford Courthouse) in and the county seat of Stafford County in the northern part of the U.S. Venture out of the city with trips to Charlottesville (University of Virginia, Monticello, & more), Shenandoah National Park (Skyline Drive & Old Rag Mountain Hike) and James Madison's Montpelier (in Montpelier Station).
