Live Music Capital of the World
Despite its laid-back college vibe, Austin is an influential center for politics, technology, film, and music.Visit Texas State Capitol and The Driskill for their historical value. Escape the urban bustle at Congress Avenue Bridge / Austin Bats and Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. Step out of Austin to go to San Marcos and see San Marcos Premium Outlets, which is approximately 48 minutes away. There's much more to do: hike along Lady Bird Lake Hike-and-Bike Trail, get engrossed in the history at LBJ Presidential Library, stop by SoCo District, and get a taste of the local shopping with South Congress Avenue.

The Lone Star State
