One of the country's most popular shopping destinations, Dallas and its sprawling suburbs include more shopping centers per capita than any other urban center in America.
Start off your visit on the 7th (Sat): examine the collection at Perot Museum of Nature and Science and then see the interesting displays at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza.

Charlotte to Dallas is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. The time zone difference moving from Eastern Standard Time to Central Standard Time is minus 1 hour. Traveling from Charlotte in March, things will get a bit warmer in Dallas: highs are around 70°F and lows about 50°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 7th (Sat) so you can catcht the bus to Austin.

Traveling by bus from Dallas to Austin takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or fly. March in Austin sees daily highs of 75°F and lows of 53°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 10th (Tue) early enough to drive to Fredericksburg.

The city of Fredericksburg was settled by German immigrants in the mid-19th century, and has managed to retain its distinctly German charm.
On the 11th (Wed), brush up on your military savvy at National Museum of the Pacific War, then indulge your senses at some of the top wineries in the area, and then pause for some serene contemplation at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

You can drive from Austin to Fredericksburg in 2 hours. Other options are to take a bus; or do a combination of train and bus. Traveling from Austin in March, Fredericksburg is slightly colder at night with lows of 46°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 11th (Wed) so you can go by car to San Antonio.

As the state’s second largest city, San Antonio embodies Texas’ rich cultural heritage while maintaining the Old West charm of an oil town.
Kids will enjoy SeaWorld San Antonio and Natural Bridge Caverns. There's still lots to do: steep yourself in history at The Alamo, take in nature's colorful creations at San Antonio Botanical Garden, take in the history at Mission Concepcion, and shop like a local with The San Antonio River Walk.
