Pigeon Forge

A tiny town with big tourist appeal, Pigeon Forge bills itself as the "Center of Fun in the Smokies." Just a short drive from the national park protecting the diverse plant and animal life of the Great Smoky Mountains, the town features numerous places to visit, such as bars, restaurants, cafes, theaters, and shops.
Change things up with a short trip to River Rafting & Tubing in Hartford (about 54 minutes away). Plan for a day of cool, family-friendly fun on the 4th (Thu) at Dollywood. There's much more to do: brush up on your knowledge of spirits at Sugarlands Distilling Company, learn about winemaking at Mill Bridge Winery, stroll through Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail, and take in the awesome beauty at Mount LeConte.
