Although urban sprawl remains synonymous with Houston, most of the city's tourist attractions lie within the relatively small downtown area, surrounded by diverse neighborhoods housing the nation's biggest African-American, Asian-American, and Latino communities.
The Seawall and Bishop's Palace will appeal to history buffs. Let the collections at Space Center Houston and The Houston Museum of Natural Science capture your imagination. When in Houston, make a side trip to see The Strand in Galveston, approximately 58 minutes away. The adventure continues: get your game on at Escape Hunt, admire the sheer force of Water Wall, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Teo-Chew Temple.

Atlanta to Houston is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also drive; or take a bus. Due to the time zone difference, you'll gain 1 hour traveling from Atlanta to Houston. In November, Houston is a bit warmer than Atlanta - with highs of 73°F and lows of 56°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 28th (Thu) to allow enough time to take a bus to San Antonio.

Kick off your visit on the 1st (Sun): take an in-depth tour of LBJ Presidential Library, take an in-depth tour of Bullock Texas State History Museum, and then get a sense of history and politics at Texas State Capitol. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: trek along Lady Bird Lake Hike-and-Bike Trail, then look for all kinds of wild species at Congress Avenue Bridge / Austin Bats, then have some family-friendly fun at The Escape Game Austin, and finally contemplate the long history of The Driskill.

One of the country's most popular shopping destinations, Dallas and its sprawling suburbs include more shopping centers per capita than any other urban center in America.
Start off your visit on the 3rd (Tue): explore the world behind art at Kimbell Art Museum, contemplate the long history of Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District, and then contemplate the long history of Thistle Hill House Museum. On the 4th (Wed), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: pause for some photo ops at Dealey Plaza National Historic Landmark District, see the interesting displays at The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, then examine the collection at Perot Museum of Nature and Science, and finally examine the collection at The George W. When traveling from Austin in December, plan for a bit cooler days and about the same nights in Dallas: temperatures range from 59°F by day to 41°F at night.
