A big city with a small-town feel, Portland is home to the country's biggest rose test garden, perched on a hill overlooking downtown.
Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Eastbank Esplanade and Columbia River Highway. Take a break from the city and head to Portland Timbers and The Grotto - National Sanctuary of Our Sorrowful Mother. When in Portland, make a side trip to see Multnomah Falls in Bridal Veil, approximately Bridal Veil away.
