The first national park east of the Mississippi River, Acadia National Park draws visitors with its rugged landscape of ocean shoreline, low-slung granite mountains, dense woodlands, and pristine lakes.
On the 19th (Wed), grab your bike and head to Carriage Roads, then trek along Champlain Mountain & Beehive Loop Trail, and then tour the pleasant surroundings at Gorham Mountain Trail. On the 20th (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: hike along Great Head Trail, get to know the fascinating history of Great Meadow Walk, and then take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Cadillac Mountain.
