South Dakota's second-largest city, Rapid City has for many years served as a gateway to the West.
Kick off your visit on the 9th (Fri): learn about wildlife with up-close encounters at Reptile Gardens, look for all kinds of wild species at Bear Country USA, and then learn about winemaking at Firehouse Wine Cellars. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 10th (Sat): stop by Christmas Village Store, pause for some serene contemplation at Chapel in the Hills, then take in the exciting artwork at Prairie Edge Trading Co. & Galleries, and finally wander the streets of Downtown Rapid City.
