Manistique — 1 night

Manistique, formerly Monistique, is the only incorporated city in and the county seat of Schoolcraft County of the U.S. state of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Kick off your visit on the 9th (Sun): do a tasting at Garden Bay Winery, explore the striking landscape at Palms Book State Park, then explore the activities along Kitch-Iti-Kipi (The Big Spring), and finally stroll through The Manistique Boardwalk and River Walk.

Paradise is an unincorporated community in Whitefish Township, Chippewa County in the U.S. state of Michigan.Paradise is on the northeastern portion of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, on the western side of Whitefish Bay, Lake Superior, about 60mi by road from Sault Ste. Kick off your visit on the 10th (Mon): visit a coastal fixture at Point Iroquois Lighthouse, identify plant and animal life at Whitefish Point Bird Observatory, and then see the interesting displays at Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum. Here are some ideas for day two: take an in-depth tour of Whitefish Point Light, then explore the activities along Tahquamenon Falls, and then immerse yourself in nature at Tahquamenon Falls State Park.
