Head to Royal Street and Faulkner House Booksfor some retail therapy. Take a break from the city and head to Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve and Audubon Zoo. When in New Orleans, make a side trip to see Insta-Gator Ranch & Hatchery in Covington, approximately 58 minutes away. There's much more to do: take a stroll through French Quarter, appreciate the extensive heritage of Garden District, shop like a local with Frenchmen Street, and examine the collection at Cabildo.
