Nicknamed the "Emerald City" because of its abundant evergreen trees, Seattle is the cultural and business center of the Pacific Northwest, as well as a popular holiday destination.
Visit Alki Beach and Brackett's Landing South for some beach relaxation. Do your shopping at Pike Place Market and Nordstrom. Change things up with these side-trips from Seattle: Duthie Hill Park (in Issaquah), Seahurst Beach Park (in Burien) and Lake Wilderness Arboretum (in Maple Valley).
