Ghost Ranch is a 21,000-acre (85 km2) retreat and education center located close to the village of Abiquiú in Rio Arriba County in north central New Mexico, United States. It was the home and studio of Georgia O'Keeffe, as well as the subject of many of her paintings.

Ghost Ranch is also known for a remarkable concentration of fossils, most notably that of the theropod dinosaur Coelophysis, of which it has been estimated that nearly a thousand individuals have been preserved in a quarry at Ghost Ranch.

  • Buy your ticket in advance if you know you are coming. To take one of their special tours, book a few days early. This is part relaxation resort and part O'Keefe fan club, Their bread and butter...

  • So much fun. The ranch hands at ghost ranch were awesome to listen to and talk to. Great voice that the whole group can hear. The tour was fun even for a guy that is a little stiff and has never ridden a horse before. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a horse back or art history experience.
  • The trail ride at Ghost Ranch is in my opinion the best way to see this beautiful scenery. The wranglers are very knowledgeable and friendly and the horses are well trained. The trail guide Dustin was very nice and offered interesting information about the history of Ghost Ranch. If you visit Ghost Ranch you must take a trail ride! Its a great way to spend some time! Thanks Ghost Ranch and Wranglers for offering this opportunity to enjoy the horses and explore the Ranch. Will definitely be back to ride again!
