  • The grounds of the Ghost Ranch are incredible, first and foremost. Northern New Mexico is hard to beat. However, we stayed in the Poplar cabin for a wedding and found it pretty lacking for the price tag. It felt a lot like a summer camp for $145 a night with a shared bathroom. There was long dark hair (not ours) all over one of our pillows and dead moths on the floor when we arrived. Maybe a remodel is in store.
  • 10 stars. I only wish I had been able to spend more time here. The welcome center, the museums, the hiking trails, the dining hall, and the pool are excellent. I recommend the Mesa trail right behind the welcome center for panoramic views and Box Canyon for a more wild hike. Eat at least one meal at the dining hall - it’s worth the price! The pool has the best view from a pool I’ve experienced.
