    Great hike in a not-too-popular area of Acadia. Nice option when other trails are packed with tourists. Spectacular views from overlook below summit. Rated "easy', but moderate for our 65+ bodies.  more »

    The Day Mountain trail is fairly easy and even though the summit is barely under 600 feet above sea level, the views to the south overlooking the Cranberry Islands are worthy of a much more difficult....  more »

    Another of our favorite hikes, we live 1/4 mile from the trailhead parking lot, often we see and talk with the carriage rides out of Wildwoods. Blueberries in season if you know where to find them. Great views of both interior mountains and around the corner, fantastic views of the water, easy hike, even easier walking up the carriage roads.

    Beautiful underrated peak in Acadia. Perfect for amateur bikers to scale on the carriage road. Flying back down the mountain at 45 mph was an adrenaline rush.
