  • What an interesting place not only because of the military testing of rockets but more importantly the geographical significance of how the earth changed a sea into a desert.  more »

  • I flew out from Atlanta although I live in Dothan Alabama but I met my granddaughter at airport and flew with her to my sons who is her dad. OMG I absolutely fell in love with New Mexico. The white sands was awesome.
  • I was stationed at Bristol, RI in 1965-66 at the Nike Hercules Missile Base and in 1965 we were appointed to go to the White Sands Missile Range and fire a missile. When we arrived there we were told we would do the first night firing of a Nike Hercules Missile at White Sands. I would loved to have seen it but I was in the radar van and missed it. We did see other Missile Battalions fire their Missile during the daytime. What a great experience!
