  • The custodian has a great local knowledge and answered all our questions with ease. The museum was being rearranged whilst we visited but still plenty to see. Please support a local attraction.

  • A charming and well maintained little museum featuring exhibits on the history, the art, and the collections of the people from the San Luis valley. One beautiful carved Jade collection was particularly stunning (not pictured). There's information on the history of Zebulon Pike. The museum is a 1-2 hour self-guided tour, however we arrived on a weekday and were fortunate enough to get a guided tour from the curator himself. Veterans and Military Free admission.
  • You will gain a much greater appreciation for the history of Alamosa and the surrounding area. We received a personal tour that was outstanding and tailored to our personal experiences. Jeff covered local art, history, and culture. The dots all connected after this stop to a great local history museum. Do it. It's well worth the small fee and the time to tour.
