  • Amazing to see these, amazed how they have withstood the test of time. Come prepared to climb, not very far to climb bit definitely some height to traverse. Bring water. Check in at the base, have $2 to pay for parking. The view from the top was great. Path is well marked and the park staff were very friendly and helpful.
  • This is a relatively short hike, which should be accessible to most levels of hikers. You’re exposed to the sun the entire way, so keep that in mind if you need clothing that covers or sunscreen. If you’re staying in Albuquerque, this is a pretty convenient trip. Take photos of the beautiful rocks, lizards, and and art but remember not to touch since they’ll wear off over time.
