Clean and peaceful. They maintain the place all the time. They got a potty as well so that's what's up.
Valle de Oro National Wildlife Refuge, has much to offer other than hiking and exploring the Bosque. They have picture contest, TAAS star parties are invited here. The beauty of the land is breath taking, many different species of birds, they have bird houses spread out within the bosque and on the ranch land. Hawks, to the geese, ants to the dragonfly even the camel cricket have a home here. Today the balloons adorn the Albuquerque skies over this beautiful valley. The sun rise is amazing here, One road leads you to I25, and the other to Rio Bravo, you can also go into the bosque, but stay on trails, rattle snakes, porky pine, coyotes and I hear the badger also is welcomed here. It truly is a beautiful place. This place opens one hour before sun rise and closes one hour after sunset. If the gate is closed drive up and if the sensor says it's time the gate will open for you. check with their office about bringing in your motorized wheelchairs. and you may drive through here as well until you reach the bosque opening, that is closed to all vehicles. telescopes are welcomed. as you walk though the bosque, one side is the lush land and all its beauty and the other side is the awesome bosque, there is nothing better than taking a walk and viewing both at the same time.
