Nestled at the foot of the Helderbergs amidst sprawling fields of apple trees, Indian Ladder Farmstead Cidery and Brewery forges craft beers and hard ciders with ingredients grown right on the farm.

The tasting room overlooks the hop yard, with rows of climbing hop bines. In the distance are fields of barley and oats, destined to be harvested for brewing.

The menu features delicious New York State farm products, including our popular New York cheese board.

  • Had a great day out with friends and the scenery was beautiful, but there were some issues. I wasn't a fan of the 2 bag pick-your-own discount, as my husband and I were with friends and we would have paid separately for bags of apples had there not been an upcharge on 1 bag purchases. We all had to scramble to figure out how to logistically pay together. After picking apples, we went to the brew pub. We got drinks while we waited for a table. The hard cider and beer had a good initial taste, but after a few sips in, it began to taste watery and flavorless. We were then seated at a dining table relatively quickly, but we had to wait about 20 minutes to receive menus. We noticed also that the pub was already out of 5 menu items, even though it was only about the beginning of lunchtime at 12:30. Once we ordered, we had to wait another 40 minutes for the food to arrive. The portions were small for the prices, and even though we said to the waitress that we were going to share everything, we received two plastic forks for four people. When it came time to pay the bill and our table had been completely bussed, another 20 minutes passed and the waitress didn't come back to pick up my credit card. I flagged down a different staff member and gave the bill folder with my card to her. I then watched as the staff member gave the bill folder to another staff member, who disappeared with it and never came back. After a while, our waitress returned and I told her I paid and never got my card back. It turns out, no one checked the bill folder and put it back on the stack of empties while it still held my card. I did get my card back eventually, but the overall timing and service at lunch made it very long and frustrating.
  • Best apple farm in the world. Beautiful scenery. Delicious apples. The best cider donuts. Love the cafe for lunch, menu is understandably limited for breakfast, but bakery options abound. We love visiting with the animals too. And Much more
