At the public art installation Cadallic Ranch, see the vision of three individuals who created a sculpture from Cadillac cars in the 1970s. Chip Lord, Hudson Marquez, and Doug Michels, members of the art group Ant Farm, repurposed old and unused Cadillacs into this installation based on their aesthetic interest in cars and their desire to find a new, unorthodox form of architectural work. The cars, which are tilted and partially buried into the ground, are now covered in graffiti and paint from visitors over the years. When you stop by this surreal site, a short walk from the highway, take photos or add your own art to the automobiles. No wonder this is hard to find on TA...should be Cadillac Ranch! Plan ahead and bring your own spray paint, the paint sold on site is kinda high. But if you forget-many people leave half-full cans... more »

Goofy, unique place. Absolutely a must see. Particularly beautiful at dusk. It's just as fun to watch people paint as it is to bring your own spray paint. Obviously great photo opportunities here. Kids and weirdos will probably like this place. Interesting history behind it, too.

Unique experience. Not quite what I expected, but it was fun to paint and contribute to an historic landmark. We went at sunset and the lighting was beautiful. Not at all wheelchair-accessible unless the person can walk about 10 feet and the chair will got under/through a widened barb wire fence, just so you're aware. It's free, so worth taking a half hour or so. Bring spray paint!
