If you are going on a Route 66 trip, this has to be a must-stop on interstate 40. It's a little far from the freeway now since they closed a section of 66 (east of Amboy) but still worth the drive if.... more »
OK, so, first you must accept that this place is in the middle of nowhere. Seriously, the desolation is profound and beautiful. That said, it is more like a convenience store than a cafe. But it is on old Route 66, the staff is really great (the 20-something clerk is a straight-up comedian), and it is definitely worth the experience.
Been there today, asking for the way to Las Vegas. Took a coffee and some ice cream. And the very best, had a nice talk with the Lady there and got a lot of background info about this place. Absolute friendly!!! When you’re around, don‘t miss to visit Roy‘s! Best regards, the German guy.
