Amelia Island State Recreation Area is a state park in Florida, United States. Its location is 7 miles (11 km) north of Little Talbot Island State Park on SR A1A, and 8 miles (13 km) south of Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island along the Atlantic coastal plain. This park consists of 200 acres (0.81 km2) of beaches, salt marshes and coastal maritime forests.

  • This is not the beach for you if you want to go sunbathing. The locals come here to fish and they all seem to be having a good time. Beautiful views of the river from the beach and the fishing...

  • Great area to walk around and if you have a 4x4 you can drive on the beach. We saw someone stuck in the sand...so I wouldn't go on unless you have a 4x4. Very clean! Looked like a great place to fish.
  • Nice beach and a good view. Plenty of people parking on the beach and walk ups too. Some fishermen to watch out for near the main entrance. The current is strong at this inlet so be careful. And, no waves. Entry fee is $2 per person. No attendant at the gate so paying is on the honor system. If you do not have cash there is a QR code to pay online.
