  • We flew in from Chicago and drove up to take this tour. Prior to that, I was on the phone with Amy trying to discern weather conditions, motion sickness probability and what wildlife we would see. She was infinitely patient in working with me to get tickets together and ensure we would have the best experience possible. And we did! The boat is just the right size that you have a clear view regardless of where you sit. Our tour had laminated cards detailing the whales we'd be seeing that day and binoculars. We could also go out to the front of the boat to watch. The crew was very polite and knowledgeable. The boat was very clean and we had a great time! 10/10 would go again and recommend to others.
  • Totally enjoyed our day trip on the Mystic Seas. A very comfortable boat with windows that enabled you to see the wildlife quite well and comfortable seating. We were also able to be outside on deck as well. We were so excited to have Captain Eric (who just happens to be family) take us on a wonderful adventure to see the wildlife that the San Juan Islands has to offer. The water was flat and calm but it was quite smoky all day. We came across sibling Orcas, brother & sister, who were searching for the rest of their family. They cruised about until lunchtime and then they started hunting. Found their lunch while we circled around them along with several other charters. There are seals on many of the islands and they are protected from humans but not the orcas. I can’t remember all the names of the little islands, need to get out my map. There is one called the Mermaid Rock. Anyway, once they had eaten they were off exploring again. We saw a bald eagle on Doe Island and as we continued our search we saw dolphins and of course birds of all kinds. Of interest was the story of the fish farms and how they came to be closed. I’m ok with that, prefer the wild and real thing. All in all, the trip was relaxing, informative and of course, a joy to be with Eric again. He’s a wonderful Captain and the crew was great! Highly recommend this tour, you won’t be disappointed.
