Alaska Pacific University (APU) is a private university in Anchorage, Alaska. It was established as Alaska Methodist University in 1957. Although it was renamed to Alaska Pacific University in 1978, it is still affiliated with the United Methodist Church. The main campus is located adjacent to the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) and the Alaska Native Medical Center.

  • The campus at APU is one in a million. There is abundant wildlife surrounding the campus including moose, goshawks and great birds. The school is very small and specializes in environmental science.....  more »

  • Nice lil local university. Took the fam for the frisbee golf course. Pretty basic an close together but also not crowded with peeps.
  • Fantastically small class sizes, intimate professor-student relationships, hands-on active learning, and the most beautiful landscapes for a classroom.
