The Anchorage Golf Course (AGC), located on the lower hillside of South Anchorage, is a 6600 yard, public 18-hole course. Designed by renowned golf course architect, Bill Newcomb, the course is framed by the magnificent views of the Chugach Mountain Range, the Anchorage city skyline, Cook Inlet, and Denali (or Mt. McKinley) AKA "The Great One." The golf season at AGC runs mid-May to mid-October. O'Malley's on the Green offers not only one of the finest banquet menus in Anchorage but also a breathtaking view for that wedding and reception of a lifetime.

  • What a great course on the hillside of Anchorage, the Pro Shop is well stocked and the bar/restaurant, OMalleys has a wonderful view.  more »
  • It is a very good course with great views. A bit narrow and challenging. The greens were slow, but that is what can be expected on a course this far north. The staff was very friendly and helpful.  more »
  • Parking is free. The Anchorage Golf Course is very convenient for those who live on the south-side of Anchorage. I enjoy the driving range as it feels like I have space and a nice walk down to it. The road throughout the greens needs some attention in spots, but otherwise a roller-coaster if you're heavy on the pedal. The snack/drink cart isn't too bad on prices, so it might be worth bringing some cash. Overall I think beginners will enjoy the course and after 18 holes you should have all your frustrations gone. • Magdalene was very helpful in showing me the club house and pointing out the courses. The greens and flowers were very well kept.
