    This is a great place to watch all sorts of general aviation aircraft come and go! With good airport access if you explore a little.

    Left Merrill on a visit to Kodiak. The plane was small but the service was friendly. I definitely would book from there again.

    If you're looking for Alaska Air Transit or the UAA Aviation Technology Division then you'll find them at the Merrill Field Airport (MRI). Small aircraft and helicopters use this airport daily; activity increases with sunny weather so bring your camera. Read more about the Merrill Field Airport online at AirNav.     It is a small airplane airport folks who want sidewalks deiced are not gonna get that wish. Our fancy airport is large enough to land very large jets safely. Yes so you thought you saw a 737 Boeing jet...you did see one. To bring it to Merrill Field permits had to happen...people who fly planes and helicopters needed advance warning and they were not thw only people got to see this beautiful old style Boeing 737 be brought in very precisely and carefully for use by the University of Alaska (UAA) Aviation program. Lines for tickets? Are you at Merrill or our larger airport?
