The beauty of the mountains and wide open desert is breathtaking. You can view from your car, go for a hike, mountain bike. Better to go in the cooler months, so you can fully enjoy it. Nice to make an entire day of it and continue to Canyon lake too, which isn't that far from there. It's very green right now, makes for an even prettier hike, flowers should be coming soon.

WOW. This is such a beautiful state park. The views get more incredible as you go up to flat iron peak. When the sun is setting, it lights up this park in such a surreal way. Definitely a highlight of visiting the Phoenix area. Will definitely return!
