  • Wanted to keep it low key for New Year’s Eve but still do something fun. We spent about an hour or so walking the trail and enjoying the light show. Weather was perfect and the crowds were light...

  • Recommended for those interested in plants and curious about the various fruits on the trees. Lots of species that are spaced out in this large park. Tips/Advice: - Free tickets every 3rd Tuesday...

  • This is a beautiful area to visit. I have been going to the Arboretum in Arcadia my entire life. Learn the history of the founder of Arcadia, "Lucky Baldwin". One of the homes Lucky Baldwin designed and built is on the grounds and remains furnished with the original furniture and decor from the 1800’s. The gardens are lovely with hundreds of plants and trees from all over the world….everything is discreetly labeled. There is a lovely gift shop as well as an eating area. Beautiful peacocks are always ready to show their beautiful feathers for a photograph. There are also many ducks and geese…food for the birds is available at a small price. Visitors can opt for a tour riding on an open bus or can walk through on their own self guided tour. Wear comfortable shoes if you decide to walk…there is a lot to see. There are also many rest areas. Parking is free in the arboretum parking lot off Baldwin Ave. Directly across the street from the arboretum is the Santa Anita Racetrack. There is also a large mall below the racetrack.
  • I have always liked the Arcadia Arboretum and especially the peacocks. Our son recently gave us a membership so that we can go year round. The grounds are great although it is a little early for the rose garden. Everything is in a great variety. The normal entry $15 charge is very reasonable and the memberships quickly pay for themselves.
