  • Murn’s is a great small town cafe. You will not be disappointed. The catfish on Friday night is amazing.  more »

  • Awesome bookstore owned by author Larry McMurtry. Two huge buildings with books on every subject, author, too much to tell. The staff is super friendly. And we happened in one Saturday, Mr. McMurtry was actually there chatting with folks in the store. If you Love First Edition Books this is your spot. Only open Thursday-Saturday.
  • Worth a visit, if you are in the neighborhood. There is plenty of quantity - acres of old books, scattered over two big, multi-section buildings. Quality is spotty. There are some jewels among the dreck, but there is a lot of dreck. Organization is - well - not great. Prices are high - this is a business. It is not crowded at all, and you can browse all you want while the store is open (hours are short). If you can stand the crowds, I suggest the Strand, in NY. If you want consistently great (admittedly, new) books, go to the Seminary Coop, in Chicago. But, again, Booked Up is worth a visit if you are nearby.
