A broad, half-mile long, raised walkway, known as the Esplanade, connects the park and its recreational facilities. Views from this area includes Roaches Run Waterfowl Preserve as well as the historic skyline of our Nation’s Capital and Washington Monument. For travelers who use our international travel planner, Arlington holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Long Bridge Park and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.
West of the Esplanade, a large rain garden infiltrates runoff from the athletic fields to support a planted garden of native shrubs and perennials.
Check out the trails to walk, run, bike or skate with spectacular views of Washington, D.C., Crystal City, the Pentagon, and Roaches Run Wildfowl Sanctuary.
A large public event area is located in the center of the park to host festivals and gatherings that build community and strengthen connections.
The 46-acre Long Bridge Park area is bounded on the north by the former "Twin Bridges Marriott" site and on the south by South 10th Street. The area is bounded on the west by Old Jeff Davis Highway and on the east by the Roaches Run Water Fowl Sanctuary. The County has owns approximately 28 of the 46 acres in the North Tract area. The history identifying the future park site goes back to the early 1990's.
Long Bridge Park Reviews
Stumbled on this by accident, but it is a nice place with several very nice ball fields, soccer, etc and a nice raised walking bridge. It will be expanded down to rejoin the Mt Vernon Trail. Fun place... more »
4 campos de futebol super bem cuidados. Uns poucos brinquedos para crianças e um caminho de refrescantes jatos d´água (fog). Infra-estrutura com vestiários. Excelente. more »4 super well-maintained football fields. A few toys for children and a path of refreshing jets of water (fog). Infrastructure with locker rooms. Excellent.
Wonderful park Oasis in the thick of Arlington's business corridor. Grabbed some rental bikes and explored the park, lady bird Johnson park and the future site of Amazon. Long bridge has sick and baseball fields, a raised walking path and modern restroom facilities. Abundant parking but bring your own food or stop by the whole foods on the way. There limited options from the concessions front.
Great area to go on a long walk.. Great soccer fields... Major upgrades coming for this already well maintained park area.
