  • Perhaps our nation's most powerful monument or memorial. You will notice the footprints etched into the rug they tread upon - the guards all step to the exact same place regardless of their natural stride length. Their commitment, precision and professionalism is impressive. I was fortunate to attend the changing of the guard ceremony at the tomb. What a fascinating experience it was watching the rifle inspection.
  • Beautiful view of Washington DC. The guards are spectacular. Would highly recommend watching the guard change. Their punctuality and sharpness is astounding. Be sure to have someone who can tell you all about what it takes to be a guard. The details of their training and demands of the job is very interesting. These men and women are called to protect this tomb with there life, no matter the weather, time of day or threat. Truly a demonstration of respect for those who faithfully served our country.
