  • Suberb upscale local art. Whether it's wood, glass, pottery, fabric...etc, this is the place for fine art. We always go here first. It's a co-op of local artists who run this gallery. Really nice...

  • The large picture windows at Ariel Gallery draw you in to find an excellent selection of wood art, which is among my favorites.

  • In simple terms, alchemy is defined as the process of taking something ordinary and transforming it into something extraordinary, sometimes in a way that cannot be explained. While David Vrooman does not transmute base metal into gold, he certainly transforms gold and silver into bold forms of art in the form of exquisite, unique jewelry. I had the privilege of meeting Dave at Aerial Gallery during my first visit to Asheville. He is an exceptionally gifted old soul who creates jewelry on a level I had not previously encountered. While I have acquired many gorgeous pieces over my lifetime, I do not connect with any of them in the way I do to the arrow shaped gold pendant which I purchased that day. He imbues his pieces with a captivating energy that simultaneously feels ancient yet modern. Since acquiring the pendant I have had at least ten strangers approach me and ask where I obtained this beauty. I was so enchanted with the piece that I decided to request that Dave create a pair of earrings to complement it. I explained that I didn’t want a large stone but something more subdued that repeated the arrow motif. He carefully listened to my ideas, took time to ponder a possible design making certain that my wishes were met and then sent a drawing of the proposed earrings which were precisely what I had in mind. We discussed budget and once approved, he proceeded to create exactly what I had envisioned. Throughout the process he sent images to keep me updated so I felt like I was part of the creation. Dave is engaging and is an absolute joy to work with. You are in for a treat! I plan to visit Aerial Gallery as often as possible and hope to acquire something equally resplendent from him in the future.
  • Beautiful art work and very helpful staff. The art was so unique, medium I had not seen before. I didn't realize at first that the vases were made from wood. Phenomenal pieces. And the Raku panels were so lovely and interesting. Loved spending time in this gallery.
