Located in Asheville, North Carolina, Biltmore was the vision of George W. Vanderbilt. Designed by Richard Morris Hunt, the 250-room French Renaissance chateau is America’s largest home. On exhibit is the Vanderbilt family’s original collection of furnishings, art and antiques. The estate is a National Historic Landmark and encompasses 8,000 acres of renowned gardens and grounds designed by Frederick Law Olmsted.

Under leadership of Vanderbilt’s great-grandson, Biltmore has grown to include the four-star Inn on Biltmore Estate, Antler Hill Village, its award-winning Winery and Antler Hill Farm. In addition to the historic attraction, the company includes a home products division featuring Biltmore For Your Home and Biltmore Inspirations; and Biltmore Wine Company, which produces 170,000 cases of wine distributed in 26 states.

  • Always beautiful no matter what time of year you go. The Biltmore never fails to impress. This was our first year making it all the way to the waterfall! Such a lovely, peaceful place.  more »
  • These gardens were huge with long walking and biking trails, a bass pond, boat house, green house and huge tress as well as flowering bushes. Allow several hours to cover this vast territory.  more »

  • The grounds are lovely to stroll through the wine tasting is fantastic. During these times they are only letting 10 people in a room at a time so you can see everything without being crowded. The village is cute too. Definitely an entire day or more visit.
  • Fantastic for a few days with the kids. The Village Hotel is family friendly! Make sure you get tickets for the house early. We were unable to get in any of the 3 days we stayed. Did walk through the grounds and gardens, though and that was enough.
