Grandpa's Cheesebarn, Ashland

I kept passing by this place during my travels and kept telling myself that one day I would stop. Well, I stopped and I am so glad I did! The place is amazing. The first building has two floors and it is chock full of cheese, syrups, and sauces. There are samples out so that you can try before you buy. It has a real good vibe to it. The next building is a candy shop. This is a chocolate lover's dream. The chocolate is smooth and everything is very good (and I bought enough to be an expert!). There is an outdoor activity area for children. Definitely worth stopping if you get the opportunity. They have a website and the items can be shipped to your home. We have already purchased some more.

I always like coming here, love the cheese samples and other samples of items. Good ice cream. I always try to get some take away cheese or specialty thing like pretzels. The downside is the crowds i encountered there now. Last time i visited i couldn't even move, and ended up just leaving. Overall recommended, but you may encounter crowds.
