  • Really neat educational activity. The guide was very personable (Joe). Not only do you get to ride partly into the mine, but you also get to leave the seats to walk around. Be sure to wear a sweatshirt, pants, and shoes you don't mind getting muddy. There is on-sight food for purchase and a small gift shop. Everyone was very friendly, and it was enjoyed by my whole family.
  • It was actually very cool to learn about. The mountain view was neat. The coal tunnel was very detailed and had a replication of what the sounds of them getting coal by firepower was like. If you do the coal tunnel be aware to dress warm ( even if it's hot outside) and wear junk clothes as you could get muddy. The tunnel was freezing cold, but still enjoyable.
