Aspen Mountain / Ajax is one of the United States' premier ski areas. With 103 km (64 mi) of trails spread out over 76 different runs of varying difficulties, the mountain offers plenty of opportunities for those already familiar with skiing. Its many, famous black diamond runs are replete with moguls, bumps, steep drops, and backcountry stretches. Hop on one of eight ski lifts, several of which are high-speed. You can rent equipment on site and book lessons from professional skiers and snowboarders to hone your skills. Keep in mind that this area has no beginner-level runs.
