  • The Columbia River Maritime Museum is a museum of maritime history with it's showcase of valuable relics and nautical knowledge. By using a telescope on your physical map this museum is charted in Astoria, Oregon which is hands down the perfect location spot. The Columbia River carries many ships. The museum has a docked ship you may check out and find what traveling life is like for seamen. Many ships are there to watch sail away only to be replaced by large cruise ships that dock for folks to come to stay in Astoria and many vist this museum. There is also a futuristic sculpture outside of the museum kids climb on. And for a little extra the museum has a 3-D film for your viewing pleasure. ⚓ Anchors Away and don't get seasick -- have a great time. Be good humans!! 💙
  • Amazing place. Lots to see and learn. The history of Astoria and it's ties to the Columbia River goes way, way back. Even before Lewis & Clark as a whaling station started by the British. Plan on spending some time to fully appreciate the many exhibits. Especially those of the US Coas Guard and their challenging mission here on the Columbia River Bar.
