I grew up in Venice Park, an area surrounded by the water in, on, and around this facility. When I first moved to there, my friends and I would fish weekly with little success. I can only measure the quality of this water from my personal fishing experiences and I must say that after a year that this facility was up and running, we’d as young teenagers would catch fish that we had never caught before ACUA’s existence. Not only were the fishing population much more abundant but also these fish were at least twice the size when I first moved to V.P. in June of 1970. I put this on everything I love! If it’s still accessible, go under the Absecon bridge and try your luck. Stripers, Porgies and Weakies come in Aug when the water begins to get cooler.
