Having decided they had something to contribute to the very exciting conversation going on in craft brewing, cousins Chris and Augie Carton teamed up and started Carton Brewing. In the seashore community where they were born and raised, the Carton boys found a turn-of-the-century red brick warehouse and adapted it to accommodate a state-of-the-art Newlands Systems 15 barrel brew house. 6 E. Washington Avenue was turned into an independent craft brewery and their hats were in the ring. Stopped in today to try the Blue Milk. Looks very cool and tastes great. We also love Light & Sweet. We come here often to try the new releases. Their coffee infused imperial ales are the best!

One of my wife and I (and our dogs) go to's. A really nice mix of beers, and something for everyone, lighter, hoppier, sour, heavy, always tons of options. They frequently brew new beers as well so if you find yourself going weekly (guilty at times) there is always something new to try. A very cool unique orange vibe inside and as mentioned very dog friendly. Extremely nice and helpful staff serves as icing to one of the best brewery outings in Monmouth county!

Finally got a chance to stop in here. Very happy we did! Great date place. My husband and I each had a flight before catching a movie down the block. Great and interesting crowd. It was fun to chat a bit with others enjoying the great beer. Bartenders are very knowledgeable and it's a cozy room. Can't wait to go back. I get Carton whenever it's on the menu in restaurants so it was really nice to go to the source and try ones I've not had before.
