  • I've been here 4 or 5 times over the past 25 years, and although the aircraft line-up changes a bit, most of the exhibits are unchanging. Here are a couple of very rare birds - RB-36 and Avro Vulcan....  more »
  • Castle AFB belonged to the Strategic Air Command so their collection is heavy on bomber type aircraft, including very rare types like the RB36 and B58 'Hustler'.  more »

  • There areloy of iconic military aircraft from the last 75 years. All the planes are sitting in the open, so be prepared to the weather conditions during your visit. There is also a nice indoor museum with a lot of military artifacts and the history of Col Castle that's included with admission. Open cockpit day is the best time to visit, they do a couple of them a year. Many of the aircraft are open and you can walk inside including a B52.
  • Can't count how many times I've drove by this place. Finally took the time to stop, and was so glad i did. To see the history of actual planes used by the military was amazing. The work that the museum and volunteers are doing to preserve and restore these historical artifacts deserves so many thanks and appreciation. I highly recommend a tour of former Air Force 1. If at all possible, try to make one of the 'open cockpit days'
